Foods to Avoid

Hey there friend! Today I want to talk to you about some of the foods you should really be avoiding, for a multitude of reasons. This is stuff I teach my FASTer Way clients and I wanted to share it with you as well! 

Low-Fat Products: I have always said that if the label says “low fat or fat free” think to yourself ” chemical *&^%storm.” When fat is reduced or eliminated in low-fat products, sugar and other additives are added to make up for the loss of flavor. The unused sugar is then stored as fat, so no low-fat benefit is actually received, and hormones levels are negatively impacted. 

Vegetable Oils: Vegetable oils are chemically extracted from seeds and contain incredibly high levels of Omega-6 fatty acids, way more than we need, which according to numerous studies, causes inflammation in the body and disease. (Canola, soybean, corn, sunflower, safflower, and peanut.)  

Artificial Sweeteners: Artificial sweeteners include products such as aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal), sucralose (Splenda), saccharin (Sweet n Low), acesulfame (Sunett), and neotame. Enlarged liver and kidneys, rashes, diarrhea, headaches, bladder issuer, stomach pain and panic have all been reported side effects.  

There are many, many more I could add to this list, but these three seem to be the most surprising to the majority of people 🙂
